Aired last June 4, 2018 at Good News on GMA News TV, hosted by Vicky Morales together with celebrity co-hosts Love Añover, Maey Bautista, and Bea Binene. It's been a week but still can't get over it! Last Saturday, we had a chance to design It's Showtime's set for MNL 48 Grand Elections. Our timeline may be limited but we still get to make these paper flowers. An experience that is definitely one for the books! Watch the MNL 48's grand winner announce to see our masterpiece (click here).
This video tutorial is for daisy type flowers. Admittedly, this is not my favorite paper flower to make but then again, I love challenging myself. Follow along and tell me what you think!

Stargazer Lilies are popular for beautiful and dramatic floral arrangements. There are many variations of lilies --- some symbolize devotion, friendship or prosperity. Mostly lilies represent marriage milestones such as 2nd and 20th wedding anniversaries. Now you can make your own no-wilt Stargazer Lily out of paper. We have made a 5-minute video tutorial for you. You can also join our workshop this month. Click here to learn more. I wanted a lil' break from my paper flowers so I tried a new art. I was inspired by my mom who's into miniature dollhouses. We bought this online. This box came with pre-cut parts and templates. All you need to do is delicately build the house according to the manual. Meanwhile, I created my first mini-garden from scratch... out of upcycled box, popsicle sticks, paper, plastics, acrylic paint, and other materials. I can imagine making more miniatures for this Yuletide season (a Christmas Village perhaps?).
One of my favorite paper flowers to make are peonies. Not only are they simple to do, they are oh-so pretty to look at! They are great bouquet fillers as they are naturally big in size and they (the real ones) come in all sorts of colors (white, pink, coral, red, lavender, yellow, green). Watch this video to learn how I make them.
Materials Needed: Heavy Crepe Paper, Floral Wire Gauge #20, Floral Tape, Glue, Scissors
Hooray! They Made It!
See how a mommy friend of mine, Janelle Espino tried doing her paper flower peonies with her cute kiddo. Their paper peonies are oh-so pretty! I also love the colors they chose.
